A BACnet gateway connects and translates devices that use different network protocols, such as Modbus, to a BACnet network. This simplifies the communication between devices using different network protocols and enables such devices to work together on a BACnet network.

As remote IoT solutions become more and more relevant day by day, a good remote management platform needs to stay up-to-date and meet the dynamic needs of its customers. That is why Teltonika Networks’ Remote Management System (RMS) received an important update last week: version 4.0. The update doesn’t change RMS in any drastic way, … Lees meer The new RMS 4.0 update

The Robustel EG5100-4L is an industrial 4G edge computing gateway with a very high reliability. The EG5100-4L has a robust metal housing and is suitable for use in IoT applications where a cellular router and embedded PC are both necessary (best of both worlds).

The cabinet announced in May 2022 that a hybrid heat pump will become the standard for heating homes from 2026. Together with installers and suppliers of heat pumps, the government wants to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. According to government figures, a heat pump saves 60 percent on natural gas consumption. In order to make this transition as smooth as possible, the government offers a subsidy amounting to 30 percent of the purchase price of a heat pump. Because of this transition, Thingsdata has created a plug & play solution to support all installers.

The TRB255 gateway has a wide variety of hardware and software features: LTE Cat M1, NB-IOT Cat M1, SMS control, firewall, open VPN and IP-SEC. The TRB255 gateway is backward compatible with 2G networks. This gives the option to upgrade existing devices and it also ensures that when the 2G network is switched off, your installations and equipment are accessible with the support of the new IoT connectivity forms: LTE Cat M1 or NB-IOT Cat M1. The compact design of this gateway makes it perfect for applications that require a reliable internet connection with a guarantee of continuity and high uptime.

Another advantage is that Z-Wave uses a different wireless band than WiFi and Bluetooth. This ensures a super range in a home, office building or hotel room, even through the walls. It also ensures that Z-Wave and other signals do not get in each other’s way, or interfere with each other. The technology is also very energy efficient. For example, a small sensor can last a few years with one battery.

Can’t see the forest for the trees, does that apply to the diverse palette of IoT connectivity options? Short range communication with NFC and Bluetooth. Indoor communication via an IoT gateway based on Zigbee, Z-Wave or WiFi. LPWAN techniques Sigfox, LoRa, NB-IOT and LTE-M. And of course, the ‘cellular’ options 2, 3, 4 and 5G.
