LoRaWAN or NB-IOT sensors

The actual ‘Things’ in the Internet of Things, which create all the data (off the shelf of customization). We offer a wide range of innovative LoRaWAN or NB-IOT sensors that you can implement in your IoT solution. With these sensors you are able to build an intelligent and measuring network. Smart sensors are valuable electronics that convert information into data in the digital domain. Sensors thus provide the input for your IoT solution.

Frequently asked questions about sensors

What is LoRaWAN?

LoRaWAN stands for Long-Range Wide-Area Network. LoRaWAN is intended for battery powered sensors with the aim of providing an efficient way of bi-directional communication. The specifications of the LoRaWAN network are drawn up by the LoRa Alliance.

What is an NB-IOT sensor?

NB-IOT is suitable for sensors that only send or receive small amounts of data a few times a day. On the network, unnecessary traffic is kept to a minimum and this saves a lot of power. Sensors can therefore communicate for up to 10 years without the batteries needing to be charged. NB-IOT uses a specific frequency that is strong enough to pass through thick walls and can even be used underground. As a result, it provides coverage in the most challenging situations.

Are custom sensors possible at Thingsdata?

Together with strategic partners, we also design, develop and produce high-quality LoRaWAN or NB-IOT sensors. In doing so, we connect technology and business insight with each other, thereby contributing to the development of hardware that is future-proof.

Does Thingsdata take care of the installation of sensors?

We can provide installations. We connect all sensors and ensure that it functions correctly. Technical specialists take care of the installation and access to an IoT portal on location.
