Introducing: Ernest Santos, started at Thingsdata as a new team member in the position of Senior Business Development Manager EMEA.
Ernest joined Thingsdata at the beginning of March. We partnered with Ernest to realise our international ambition. Our mission is to become one of the leading IoT system integrators worldwide. He will represent Thingsdata in the UK, Southern Europe and Latin America, among other countries. Ernest speaks fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish and operates from Jersey and Portugal.
Ernest has over fifteen years of experience in telecom and over ten in the IoT market, having worked at Vodafone, NOS and JT (Jersey Telecom) from the early days of what later would become Velos IoT and Emnify. Holding positions in direct sales, management, and head of department, supporting channel partners, scale-ups and SMB to mature brownfield enterprise partners simplify complex global IoT deployments at scale. His extensive knowledge and experience in IoT make him a very valuable addition to the Thingsdata team.

After coming to know more about Thingsdata and their “customer first” approach, the vision, purpose, and ambition really appealed to me. The solution range not only helps customers leverage a truly valuable full IoT solution, spanning all the painful things from as early as from the design stage such as, hardware selection, integration, and sourcing, to selecting the best connectivity solution for the project needs, all in a collaborative, friendly and effective framework. Jochem and Michael were pivotal, showcasing not only the potential of the project, and after knowing the broader supporting team involved and the level of ability, engagement and expertise brought to the table, it was an easy decision to make.
