Thingsdata webshop expanded with IoT hardware

An IoT project involves more than just a SIM card. Organizations also need a router, gateway, sensor or antenna to get started, often from different suppliers. Sourcing all of these components separately takes time and can delay the deployment of an IoT solution.

The Thingsdata webshop solves this. In addition to routers and gateways, it now also offers sensors, antennas, mounting equipment and connection accessories for a complete installation. The product range has been significantly expanded with hardware from, among others, Teltonika and Milesight.

Expanded Teltonika range in the webshop

Teltonika has played an important role in Thingsdata’s hardware portfolio for some time. This range has now been expanded considerably. This includes hardware for 4G, 5G, Ethernet, WiFi and industrial communication protocols.

New Teltonika products are continuously added, making recently introduced Teltonika hardware quickly available in our webshop. One example is the Teltonika RUTC40, an industrial edge computing router with 4G LTE, WiFi 6, five Gigabit Ethernet ports and support for both physical SIM cards and eSIM.

Collecting data with Milesight solutions

In addition to Teltonika, Milesight is now also much more widely represented in the webshop. The company focuses, among other things, on IoT sensors, LoRaWAN solutions, monitoring and smart building applications. This makes the brand a valuable addition to the existing product range.

For organizations, this means that not only the connectivity of an IoT device can be arranged, but also the hardware used to actually collect data. This includes, for example, sensors for measuring and monitoring temperature, energy consumption, occupancy and other environmental conditions.

eSIM is becoming increasingly important in IoT hardware

eSIM technology is playing an increasingly important role. One example available in the webshop is the Teltonika RUT241 eSIM, which supports multiple eSIM profiles in addition to a physical SIM card. This makes it possible to configure connectivity more flexibly, without having to physically replace a SIM card every time a change is required.

This reflects a broader development within IoT: the growing need to configure and modify connectivity remotely. For this reason, Thingsdata works with eSIM and eUICC solutions that allow profiles to be deployed and managed over the air. With the development of standards such as SGP.32, this flexibility is further increased for large-scale IoT deployments.
