Thingsdata launches a global IoT service alliance

The IoT landscape is rapidly evolving. Connected devices are increasingly becoming an essential part of infrastructure, while the introduction of SGP.32 opens the door to an additional acceleration. At the same time, internationally operating organizations are experiencing a growing need for partners that can provide reliable and consistent support on a global scale.

An alliance to better meet the growing demand for IoT connectivity

In this context, Thingsdata announces the launch of a global IoT service alliance, responding to these developments. Building on its European base in Amsterdam and Tallinn, and its international presence in Hong Kong, the alliance enables specialized local value-added resellers to operate in a uniform way. The alliance is governed by established standards in the areas of quality, security, and compliance.

A key element is the focus on local presence. Instead of relying on centralized or remote support models, the alliance is built around dedicated local teams, offices, and value-added resellers in each region. This ensures that customers receive support close to the locations where their devices and operations are based.

International collaboration and positioning

In Asia, Thingsdata works together with GongTian, a value-added reseller and founding member of the alliance. GongTian focuses on local execution and operational support in Asia, while Thingsdata remains responsible for architecture, security, service design, and customer relationships.

The alliance operates under the service brand Thingstian, focused on delivering global IoT services with local execution. The alliance supports connectivity for more than 13.5 million devices worldwide.

This initiative aligns with the growing need for globally managed IoT services, where centralized governance is combined with strong local execution.

With this step, Thingsdata positions itself as an international IoT service provider with a collaborative model focused on scalability and flexibility across different regions.
