The new RUT260

Teltonika has launched a new router, the RUT260. It has been developed especially for industrial IoT projects. The RUT240 and the RUT360 have been used as inspiration. The RUT260 has the same dimensions as the RUT240, but the same listing (Cat 6) as the RUT360. This allows the compact router to achieve speeds of 300 mbps. It is the ideal combination between the two routers. In addition, the RUT260 comes with WAN Failover, which means the router can automatically switch to an available backup connection.

Thingsdata’s M2M KPN IOT SIM cards are perfect for this. This involves the pay as you go subscription. Pay as you go is a monthly subscription that only charges for the data consumed per active SIM card. There is a fixed monthly starting rate and data usage is charged per MB.

Specifications of the RUT260

The RUT260 supports both 4G and 3G, but not 2G. If you need 2G, we recommend the RUT240. The router also has one digital input, one digital output and two Ethernet 10/100 ports. Furthermore, the new router is compatible with the Remote Management System (RMS). The RMS is Teltonika’s cloud IoT platform designed for monitoring & management. In addition, a number of other industrial protocols are supported. These include: MQTT, SNMP and Modbus.
