Thingsdata Team Weekend in Varese: A Weekend Full of Ideas, Energy and Speed

A lot is happening at Thingsdata right now. We are growing, we are building, and everyone on the team contributes to that every single day. That kind of progress deserves a moment to pause and celebrate, so last week the whole team flew to Varese, Italy. Especially in a period with so much happening across the organization, you notice how valuable it is to have everyone together in one place for a few days.

Since we normally work from different countries, a lot of our conversations happen online. That works fine, but some things are simply easier to discuss around the same table. The excellent Italian food and warm sunshine were the icing on the cake.

Sales Training Focused on Strategy and Growth

Throughout the weekend there was plenty of time to exchange ideas, discuss market developments, align on plans, and reach concrete agreements much faster than usual. Saturday morning’s sales training was a good example of that. We took a close look at where we stand today, where we want to grow, and how we can work towards that together as a team.

Beyond the business conversations, there was also plenty of room to get to know each other outside of work. From the hike to Sacro Monte di Varese to an elaborate dinner with a black-tie dress code.

Weekend Highlight: Full Speed at Monza

And of course, there was Monza. The speed, strategy and teamwork needed to perform in Formula 1 felt oddly familiar. As a global IoT connectivity partner, we work with different networks, countries and partners every day, and that also comes down to switching quickly, working well together, and making the right call at the right moment.

Looking back, we feel mostly grateful and happy about a few special days together. We returned home with new ideas, clear agreements and a lot of fresh energy, ready to make Q4 count.
