At the beginning of June, the telemetry application of Remondis Smart Infra, the Aquaview powered by Xylem (water management monitoring) was upgraded and transferred to an external VPS (virtual private server) environment. The entire server park, which until now was under Remondis Smart Infra’s own management, has been redesigned in the VPS and equipped with the latest techniques in the field of security, surveillance and monitoring.
After intensive preparations and under the supervision of Niels Zuidervaart (Remondis) and Jochem Koppes (Thingsdata), the migration was successful. Thingsdata has ensured that all data is routed securely over a temporary second IP-SEC VPN tunnel to the external VPS environment. The Remondis Smart Infra Aquaview customers have not noticed any migration. All historical (measurement) data have been transferred and remain available for trend graphs and 24/7 ‘real-time’ reports.
