An APN or Access Point Name defines where a device connects to the internet. In a sim management system, every device with a simcard has a communication plan that states which APNs the device can use for data services, this applies to M2M, LTE M and NB-IOT. In order for a device to successfully connect to the Internet, the device must use an APN which is allowed by the communication plan.
