Sim management system

IoT applications often involve monitoring and managing a few tens to thousands of simcards. A sim management system gives you a grip on the continuity of the mobile internet access of your sim cards, and on the data consumption. Via a sim management system you can easily and realtime monitor and manage all IoT connections. You also have a direct overview of all features that are linked to an individual simcard and you can fully automate many processes.

Frequently asked questions about BLUE IOT

What is a pay as you go subscription?

A pay as you go subscription is an individual subscription where you pay for what one active simcard uses in data per month. A fixed starting rate is applied per month and the data consumption is charged per MB per month. To clarify: each simcard has a fixed price per month (monthly access fee) and a price per MB for data usage.

Explanation sim management system?

In the sim management systems that Thingsdata uses you can view extensive information related to the simcards. Here you can monitor, manage and support the simcards. You can perform an analysis on each simcard to obtain information about its current status. You can also set automation rules to stay informed about data usage.

What is a SLA?

A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is an agreement between Thingsdata and you as a customer. It is a comprehensive quality assurance service. The SLA is a stand-by service from Thingsdata where you as a customer are given the opportunity to report a question, malfunction or change via 085-0443590 and support@thingsdata.nl. The support employee on duty will then process the report. Based on the agreed SLA conditions, a report follows of the work performed and any follow-up steps to be taken. At Thingsdata you can choose from the following options:
  • Basic SLA including best effort
  • Advanced SLA including 5x8 support
  • Premium SLA including 7x4 support
  • Extended SLA including 24x7 support

What is IoT security?

IoT security refers to the protection methods that can be used to secure Internet connected devices. The term IoT is incredibly broad, and as technology continues to evolve, the term has only broadened. From drinking water supplies, energy monitoring systems to ATMs, almost every technological device can communicate with the mobile internet or other devices to some degree. IoT security is the family of techniques, strategies and tools used to prevent IoT devices from being compromised.

Explanation of contractual conditions?

When Thingsdata and you as a customer enter into a commitment, this is recorded in an agreement / contract. The contractual liability is then established, so that both parties can always find out what one can expect from each other. Contractual conditions that we as Thingsdata include depending on the specific product or service are: activation costs, activation period, minimum period active on the network, flexibility in the sense of scaling down, duration, purchase obligation, adaptability.

What are the payment terms?

What is a form factor?

Thingsdata offers different sizes of simcards. The capabilities of each simcard (form factor) are the same, but they each have different dimensions, making them suitable for specific types of devices.
  • 2FF (Mini): 25mm x 15mm x 0.76mm
  • 3FF (Micro): 15mm x 12mm x 0.76mm
  • 4FF (Nano): 12.3mm × 8.8mm × 0.67mm
  • 3:1 simcard
  • MFF2 (embedded): 5mm x 6 mm x 1mm

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times depend on each product or service. Look at ''your choice'' how long it takes before your product or service is delivered. In principle, the delivery times are one to two working days.

Why a direct debit?

Direct debit is the payment method that Thingsdata uses, whereby we are authorized by the customer to have money debited from his bank account. Thingsdata uses this authorization in connection with the fact that it concerns subscription fees, periodic data consumption, the number of active subscriptions per calendar month can differ and overage can arise. You will still receive an invoice for inspection and verification.
